Jasmine Antoinette Currie is the founder and designer of her signature label Jasmine Antoinette Collection. Born in Alberta and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Jasmine studied Fashion Design and Marketing in Montreal and then in Vancouver, where she created her first collection in 2006. Originally called F.A.K.E. Couture (for Freedom, Action, Kindness, Empathy), "I decided to change the name because when I first came up with F.A.K.E., it was going to be for a specific concept. However, the line quickly evolved into something quite different, and I felt that putting it under my own name made more sense."

The line is based on her philosophy of what fashion should be. "I love fashion and I love to dress up and look sexy as much as any other woman, but for me, at the end of the day, I'm more practical than anything else. In the 21st century, clothes need to do more than make us look good and keep us warm-they need to work for us and fit into our lives."This pragmatic approach to what is often a frivolous industry helped form the foundation for her unique design concept. "I don't agree that we must suffer in order to look good. And why would you want to?"

A modern system of dressing, the Jasmine Antoinette Collection is based on truly timeless, versatile coordinates that can be mixed-and-matched and worked together to create an entire wardrobe that goes from day to evening, weekday to weekend, season-to-season, year-in-year-out. "I'm designing for the modern woman who is wearing all of these different hats: she has the husband, the kids, the career, the hobbies, she travels, etc. She does it all, and she needs a wardrobe that does it all, too."

Designed and manufactured in Vancouver, BC, the Jasmine Antoinette Collection is made responsibly from organic soy, cotton and bamboo (a.k.a. vegetable cashmere). These fabrics are environmentally friendly and kind to your skin, with no irritating dyes, sprays, or pesticides. Unbelievably soft and silky, they are so lightweight and comfortable that they feel virtually as if you're wearing nothing at all-and what could be better than that?
